Finished Work

Here will be my completed work. Think of this page as the Hall of Fame. Only the best work will be put up in here.

Missing a Loved One
I haven't had much time for personal projects lately and the time I have had, there has been a lack of inspiration. But my wife is going 2000 miles away this summer for her internship and I know I am going to miss her so much everyday she is gone. So I used that as inspiration to start this piece. There are two versions, one with my ring and one with my wife's. The book is a type version of our wedding vows. The closer vow was my wife's to me and the further is mine to my wife.

I also made a banner version and submitted it to BlenderNation. For those who don't know what that is, it is THE news source for everything Blender. Any competition, tutorial, model, or conference going on gets posts and viewed from around the world. I was blessed enough to have mine picked to be a header for the day.

DJ YUMMI
My brother has a DJ business and provided me with some awesome reference pictures. He wanted some logos and with his help we came up with these two designs. It was my first work in "graphic design" so it was a new media type for me, which made it a nice challenge.

01022010
The palindrome above (like race car) is my wedding date. No, even though I am a math teacher (soon to be) I did not plan it that way, it just happened to work out that way. Any who, I was still on the them of art I wouldn't mind seeing every day so I decided to recreate my wedding day. My wife and I got married in a furniture store so I didn't want remake it exactly hahaha. Anyway here is my artistic view of my wedding day.

Nature
My wife and I moved into a new house about a week ago and before we did we decided that we want to hang some art around the house, to be more "cultured" or snobby if you will. Well we looked at some cheap places like ROSS, Burlington CF, Target, etc but nothing in our price range really caught our eye, in a positive way. So I thought I would try to make my own art, nature focused, and see if we like enough to put on our walls. This is what I came up with so far.

Saying Goodbye to Yesterdays
This scene is my baby (so to speak). I spend over 70 hours working and re-working this scene to get the best out of it. I entered this into the BlenderGuru Saying Goodbye competition with the goal to get into the honorable mentions, since for the Christmas one I got the cold shoulder. To make it more meaningful, I asked for help from my friends and family several times and they came through time and time again. If it wasn't for them I would not have been able to make a complete scene. So thanks again! Anyway, I entered it and I got in the honorable mentions! I was so excited I told my wife that it felt like I won the Super Bowl. Well, I will stop typing and let you see the render.

Kachina Scene
I made this scene after my brother got a tattoo on his arm with the face of this Sun God. My brothers were trying to convince me to have it done myself but I this is the best I could do for now! I got some good responses that the scene. This was the first time using the compositor on Blender.

Christmas Night
This was an entry in BlenderGuru Christmas competition. I didn't get great feedback on it so I didn't win over any fans haha. Oh well, I like it and it was my first shot at composing two scenes together.
