Blue Jackson

Ok, so I have been working on my project lately (even though I have been in DC for the past week). I had a decent model made with some decent color maps and what not. I thought I was happy with it... then David Ward (my 3D idol of sorts) came out with a brand new tutorial series about character creation to put my ole model to shame.
So I redid a few things, mostly to the textures but also to some of the modeling and came out with a new color scheme and persona. So here is my first profile of Blue Jackson.

Progress

Hey guys!

I have made some progress on my new project. I am excited because this is the first organic modeling project I have taken further than just some concept modeling and petty texturing. So from my previous concept drawings you can probably see the idea I was going towards with my character. I want an older blues musician who has run out of luck in his life(possibly homeless). I plan on rigging him tomorrow, which will take me a lot of time. I have only done a few rigs before and they were very simple. Anyway here are a few progress pictures.

 

 

New Project

Hello guys!

I have started a new project. Last week I purchased a stylist tablet (Bamboo Capture) so I thought I make a project starting right from the concept. So I want to share with you guys a few concepts that I have come up with over the past few days. I am looking for a homeless blues artist. I have been watching and listening to blues artist and have always been captivated by the genre. I even have been trying to take my hand at playing the harmonica, particularly the 12 bar blues. So I am trying to completely amerce myself into the character. So without further ado:

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I have updated my blog. Not that reading this blog is life or death to anyone but I do hope it brings some entertainment for someone. Anyway, I haven't had any time to work on personal projects due to graduating, getting a job, and spending time with my soon to be distance wife. Welcome Back! I was having trouble with the last blog, my gmail linked to it got corrupted so I had to start a new one. I wanted to start fresh so I came up with a new name for the blog. For those who did not know, the name of the last blog "Mr.William" was what my students called me before I was their student teacher and it kinda stuck. But since my student teaching is coming to an end I thought what a perfect time to lose the informal address and try for a new sorta designy feeling name. So thats were Mr. 3McD comes from! Any way hope you like it and I will be keeping up with the blog as much as possible. I will try to post a blog at least once a week and for the most part it will filled with my 3D work.
